Reading through those 3 chapters as a start to the year was quite interesting.
Did you notice how organized God was, making light before the plants, the waters before the aquatic animals? Heheh... So cool...
Did you know that there was not ONLY the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the middle of the Garden of Eden? There's actually another tree - the tree of life. See for yourself. 2:9
And noticed that the serpent did not tempt Eve to eat from the fruits of the tree of life but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. I was wondering the reason behind this. Cos... Both fruits would cause them to be sinning but it had to be that tree. The only reason I could come up with was that if they ate from the tree of life, they'd have eternal life(Genesis 3:22b) and that'd mean we would not die and that would mean we wouldn't be able to go to hell for our sins. Hmmm... Crafty serpent... Thank God for the cross!
Then there's 2:18 - "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him."
Does this apply for all of us men? It seems we need women more than they need us, eh?
Reading the Bible seems more interesting and more things come out at me everytime I read it. The Living Word!! SWEET!!!
Went here and came across rather interesting questions about this passage too!
