30-06-09 (Tuesday) "Genesis 1:1"

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

How much is packed into that one verse?

Every single thing we see around us. All. Semua. Lun3 ju4.

Service this Sunday was something different with people from the church going up to share sth about their lives. Pretty awesome. Encouraged.

Particularly liked what Emma shared. To remember all the things around us that are little miracles in themselves instead of asking God for sth big to jump in our faces when we ask for Him to speak to us.

Take a look at a tree...

... The birds around...

... Even the sky or the water body around.

... I say all these are pretty darn awesome miracles. I guess Canberra was really the best choice for me.

I still am impressed and amazed that I'm in Australia now...

... Alright... Too many pictures in a post. Gonna save some for next time.

On a random note... We don't close doors anymore. We push them, hoping we applied the right amount of force so that it just clicks shut. Sometimes, we miss and it just bounces back open or it slams and we have to shout out, "SORRY!!!"

23-06-09 (Tuesday) "Care"

If you didn't care about me, would you bother correcting me for what I'm doing? You'd just let me embarass myself in front of others, wouldn't you?

If a teacher didn't care about his/her students, would he/she bother checking on their homework/assignments/tests? He/She'd just let the student be and just give everything a tick without looking whether or not they actually did their own work, wouldn't he/she?

If God didn't care about us, would He bother examining us for all that we do, whether its right or wrong? He'd just let us do all the wrong we want, suffer the consequences while He sits back and watches the pathetic story of our lives unfold(... even though He already knows how the story goes...), wouldn't He?

What is man that You make so much of him,
that You give him so much attention,
that You examine him every morning
and test him every moment?

15-06-09 (Monday) "Team Sports Reveals Characters"

In case some of you haven't realized, the best way to see the character of a person when you just got to know them is to see them in some team sports, whether they're selfish, proud or rude... It all shows in a matter of time. There are people who seem to be different from their playing style but I believe that what lies inside is truly shown through team sports. So... Girls... Get your brother to bring that guy out for some basketball or football and observe... *snigger*

Did you know that Australia's coins have SO MANY VARIATIONS?!?? These are the 50 cents coins.
On a totally different note, I am thoroughly amazed at fingerprints. I am amazed how God made them in a way that no matter what injury is inflicted on the fingertips, the skin grows back with the exact same print. (Minus, of course, severe burns...) *peels**peels*

These are the dollar coin variations
And... you know winter has arrived when its 6 degrees Celsius outside and its actually warm.

Balancing act... Alone.
Jocelyn coming to ANU too. Yay yay! Family grows bigger...!!
QUACK FEST!!!

06-06-09 (Saturday) "Nothing to do with Anything"

I think Facebook quizzes should be sanctioned against. Its like the next(its more like the new and current, not next) substitute for marijuana, smoking and everything bad and addictive. Everytime I log into FB, I see 666 different quizzes that "My Friends" have taken. And that's not even including the ones that they choose NOT to post. The sorts of quizzes they take are absolutely absurd as well... From "How Asian are you?" to "What chemical molecule are you?" to "Which sex position are you?"... -_- I dunno which is worse, the ppl who create them or the ppl who take the quizzes... -_________-

FB is pretty badly addictive as well. For those of you who use it,(and that constitutes like 98% of you who read this, the other 2% being the smarter ppl who couldn't be bothered to check on everyone else's newly-taken quiz results) you know you're pretty much hooked when everytime Firefox or IE or Chrome or Safari pops up, the first letter on your keypad you touch is naturally the key with d slight bump towards the left side of the middle of the keyboard. (Just wanted to make you read some confusing stuff. Its "F" la. Of cos, story's different for those who take d effort to type the "www." in front first.) Whether its just to sound the horn cos' its past 15 minutes since you last logged in OR you wanna change your status from "is 13 hours away from flying to New Zealand" to "is 12 hours away from flying to New Zealand" OR you just wanna check on updates from your friends but end up getting bombarded by stupid quiz results... You know what and who I'm talking about...

Darn you, Mark Zuckerberg & Chris Hughes!!! Earning so much at the expense of the productivity of the rest of the world. I absolutely agree with Jocelyn's post yesterday that tech is making us lazy. Except that I'm thinking more of the word "Unproductive".

Anyway... Enough complaining. Got ALL assignments done for the semester! WOOHOO!!! tests next! WOOHOO!!! Then holidays! WOOHOO!!! Going to Sydney! WOOHOO!!! Again. WOo... Gonna get a job! WOOHOO!!! No more computing/programming! WOOHOO WOOHOO WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!

If I started a Facebook group called "I hate Facebook Quizzes" and "Facebook Quizzes should be banned", would you support me in my cause?

V is very, very extraordinary

E is even more than anyone that you adore"

L-O-V-E-ly...

03-06-09 (Wednesday) "Rain"

It rained this morning.

I like it when it rains. It was not exactly a drizzle but not a downpour as well. Just nice... Ahhh... Cycling through University Avenue as the raindrops pitter-pattered all over my jacket. What a nice feeling.

Its small, everyday stuff like this that I thank God for that makes life great.

Against it all
Its June already. Where has your half a year gone to?
