Time for some picture-tell-story time...!

Went to Carl's Jr. not too long ago. Stupidly ordered a large meal because I thought I was REALLY hungry...

Can you tell how big this is? Oh, and this is before the FRICKIN' EXPENSIVE HAIRCUT!! Looked so 'guai zai' and innocent then, eh?

Can tell here?

It was stupid because... I can get FREE REFILLS!

My supidly LARGE meal... McD's fries still rule...

Sexy bacon.. I just loved this huge burger. And NO the burger is NOT huge because I ordered a stupidly LARGE meal...!

And here's Arvind eating with me, totally unaware that I was taking a picture of him only until NOW as I'm posting this... Awww... Don't he look so innocent..? Oh... That 1 L nalgene bottle's there to let you see how big the drink is too!

Okay, enough of the sinfully, pleasurable sinful stuff...

I went cycling with my senior, Xing Ji yesterday evening at ECP.

That's Xing Ji in white in front there...

We got to this jetty with a pretty nice view...

I think that's St John's Island or something further to the left... Hey! I can see my roommate waving from our room from here!

Not very long later, we saw this towering structure and...

Can you guess what it is? I'm gonna tell only in the next post... Winner gets... a 'HADIAH MISTERI'!

I dunno why but I think this pic would look nice... What say you?

As we turned back, the sky was dark already...

This pic, IMHO, is kinda impressive with the light rays and all that... I like it...!

The bunga-bunga, gesi-gesi, showoff-showoff version of it. Actually, not very gesi oso la ho... Only senget nia ma... What's so gesi...??

Now for a thought.

Human greed and desire is insatiable. We desire to be able to fly in the skies like a bird(not on a massive air polluter like the Airbus A380 or BOEING-787) one day if given the chance. Then, it just came to me that if we were SOMEHOW given the opportunity to do so, we wouldn't stop there. We'd want MORE! We'd wanna be able to travel to outer space freely! Like the debris and asteroids floating out there! This is just a comparison to money. We can NEVER have enough. Get your first million by 45 years old and then you think: 'Can get a million, the next million won't be hard, right? At most also die trying what...' Then, earn another million, try to save money by giving some money to charity so that you get taxed less... 'Just another million will be enough la' you say... Enough is NEVER enough.

Hmm... Come to think of it... It's like what men AND women want for their bodies too. You know what I mean... Bigger is better? Some just keep wanting bigger or maybe a smaller... Body shape... Yeah, that's the word...

15-06-07 Randomnity VII - "A Time to Update"

It's been so long I dunno what to update on so... I'll just use my pictures to remind me as I go along, okay?

Right before I came back, I left my hair to grow for the 3 months since the previous holidays. Many people wondered how long it would be already. Be surprised here. Be VERY surprised...

Ain't exactly long, right? I still managed to tie it up if I wanted to, though... (Pssst... Don't scold me for ridding you of your appetite yet... I was NOT naked when I took this pic... I just happened to finish showering so... *ahem*)

The Sunday prior to my return to Miri was Pentecost Sunday and there was this Global Day of Prayer taking place in many countries the world over(Unfortunately, M'sia wasn't one of them). Here are just a few pics of it...

It's really nice to see so many people come to just worship God and pray... This really was an enriching and enlightening experience!

There's Ms. Doris Gan, one of the MOE officers in charge of the ASEAN scholars, in red, taking pics.

This is one of the small opening ceremony stuff. There were this whole bunch of lil' kids among the throng of people waving the flags. They looked as if they would just trip anytime... So adorable! Heheh...

At the start of the holidays, my CT Class,07S45, had this chalet outing. I decided against joining as I had enough trouble getting back on time at night on many occasions I think my image in the eyes of the guards has been tarnished ENOUGH already. Heheh...

I had to make do with just joining the BBQ session.

Sexy charcoal, no? I had a hand in keeping the fire burning! Or rather... The charcoal hot... Whatever...

That's it for the stuff that have happened... Now for the randomer stuff!

Boy, my puppies have grown...!

This one used to be the naughty lil' black puppy... Now it's officially an irritating, T-shirt staining, lickity-wetty. annoying black BITCH! (It IS female...)

This brown doggy here is the cute, innocent-looking doggie(whatever way you spell it la...), which does not do anything annoying except go out in the hot sun when we open the gate and due to the later closed gate... It goes skinny-dipping in the longkang to cool off... Then when we return it gives us a black surprise! I went back for 10 days only and this silly lil' dog did it TWICE already...! Well.. On the bright side... At least it still LOOKS cute... AND it has a sexy, shiny coat of fur!

Not long ago. I went to watch this movie, "Amazing Grace" telling the story behind the song. The story of the abolition of slave trade in Britain. Anyway, while waiting for the others, I took a trip to the toilet(naturally... Toilock Man what...) and saw this poster behind the door to the cubicle...

SH*T!

As for my spiritual life... Well, on the first morning of holidays, I tried out sth 'novel'... I woke up early before the sun was up and went to the beach opposite my hostel together with my lil' devotion book and my Bible. I sat upon this jetty and just did a REAL quiet time with the sea blowing in my sexily long hair then... I'll just share with you some of the amazing scenes in the serene environment, especially as the sun woke Singapore up...

It really gives the feeling of God's bright eye shining on us, no?

I was walking to take that second pic and as I looked back I saw these 2 sets of footprints in the sand. I thought it looked quite cool... Evolution of 'prints in the sand'... Heehee...

The next two pics were taken elsewhere while I was on my bike. I just stopped to take these pics cos they seemed appropriate. :P

This was while I was riding by the roadside.

This... In the park beside the beach beside my hostel.

And finally... Let me introduce you to my 'last-moved-in roommate. This was in March or sometime then la.

He was camwhoring with my cam and forgot to delete the pic so I thought... What the heck...

03-05-07 Randomnity VI

Last Saturday, I went cycling at East Coast Park(ECP) early in the morning before my roommates woke up. Yeah, 8 am is VERY early when it's the weekends... Here're a few pics to describe my 80 minutes journey to and from the other end of ECP.
Nice place, right? So green ah...! Notice the figure of men skating and cycling on the road? Well, they have special lanes by the side for jogging ppl. It's cramped enough in Singapore, wouldn't wanna have roller blade marks on your right thigh and bicycle wheel tread marks on your left cheek, eh?
Some MORE greenery! WOOHOO Singapore!
They have Little India, Chinatown and here in ECP, we have...
...Little Miri River!!
This tree here got me thinking of what the Bible said abt not worrying abt our future. A TOTALLY new meaning to how God "clothes the grass"(which in this case is the trees...). Awesome....!!

I purposely went down to the beach to do this. Heheh... Kinda free you must be thinking. Anyway... I was just hoping I'm answering some guy's prayer that happens to be walking down the beach that morning telling God,"God, please show me a sign that you are still alive and here on this earth!" And then he/she'd see my work of art and then...*cluthes heart* "Oh THANK YOU GOD!!" Heheh... The stuff I think of... More chances of CRABS seeing it than touching a life, eh? But hey... Only God knows...!!
Singaporeans take pride in the fact that Singapore is a like an eating heaven. I can't deny the fact that the choices here are really... WHOA! Takes the phrase 'spoilt for choice' to a whole new level. I wonder whether I can even finish tasting everything here if I try sth new everyday. Anyway, My cousin brought mom, Phebe & I to Sakae Sushi for dinner a few days ago. NICE!!
They had this techy-stuff going on where you can order stuff via this monitor and the stuff would be sent over in a few minutes. So COOL!

Just the first few plates of stuff that we grabbed from the roll-a-roundy thingy. We ended up having around 15 plates of the similar size on our table!!

Next! Ichiban Sushi! Remember Ps. Cheng Lian Hiok? She invited me out for a meal last night. Feel kinda bad eating out of others' purse...

Anyway... The food was very much different from what we usually eat(obviously...) and Ms. Cheng Lian hiok has also changed quite a lot. Short hair now. I almost didn't recognize her if not for her cute stature. Heehee... No offence yea! Meant it in a TOTALLY positive way!

Since we're already on the topic of food, here's some weird stuff we saw at a supermarket on Tuesday.
Small crabs!! Can be eaten just like that! Crackers!!

Here's a closer view... The cartoon crabs remind me of the employer of Spongebob Squarepants... What's his name again? Hehe.... I'm sure you can see that they AIN'T smiling, yeah? Poor things, they get eaten WHOLE by us...!

Look at this following poster.
Cute, ain't it? Heheh... Maybe we might get a taste of labor pain after trying that... Heheh... In the form of diarrhoea...
Okay... Now for even MORE random stuff...
A view of Orchard Road early in the morning when everyone's still lying on bed at home. And remember... 8 am on weekends early but 9 am on HOLIDAYS is VERY early!
The early birds of Orchard Road. No pun intended... Heheh... These are the pigeons that aren't really afraid of humans lo.
Just as we Malaysians would be like... When there's a branded goods sale, everyone packs up the place to the brim just to get sth branded at a lower price even though they don't have any need of it at all. This was a season-end sale for Nike Shop.
Saw this in one of those huge shopping malls in Sg. Crazy ah... 103" Plasma tv... My goodness, Place it face up and you got the area of my room already ah(almost anyway...), still can afford to store it meh...? Heheh... Oh yea... Sg ppl all well-paid ah. What more got a 20% pay hike just a month ago.
I think this scene is one that Singaporeans would look at and sigh. The care-free lifestyle is sth very rare among the ppl here already. Life is ALWAYS so hectic for most of them!
This really cute and interesting dog here belongs to a classmate of mine. Totally shaved except for his head. Very cute and friendly! Heheh...
Oh... This is the middle section of my college's Lecture Theatre 1. That's Bu Qing there reading her magazine as usual. She's one of the 4 PRC scholars in my CT.
This is one of the MANY, MANY corridors in National University Hospital(NUH). They should have a maze competition kinda thingy here. It's SOOOOOoooOOOOO big and SOOOOOoooOOOOo many turns here and there just to get to one place!!
Earth Day was last Sunday I think. Earthwatch decided to have the whole JC try 2 periods WITHOUT air-conditioner. And I'm sure just like you.... They groaned and mumbled and complained...!!
PHEW!! Too long didn't blog on random stuff, had too much pics to share. Heheh.. Hope you at least enjoyed a few pics in particular!
